FUN ON TWO BLADES!
The Pinzgau Cultural Society in the Wildkogel Arena
The Wildkogel Arena lies between Hohe Tauern National Park and the Kitzbühel Alps. The 2,225 meters-tall Wildkogel is flanked by the towering peaks of the Grossvenediger and Grossglockner, the two mega stars of the Austrian Alps. Cultural work within the National Park is centered in Neukirchen: The Kammerlanderstall is the home of the Pinzgau "Tauriska" Cultural Society, which offers a program rich in variety every summer.
Founded in 1986, the Tauriska Cultural Society has made it its mission to preserve local traditions and culture, and to support regional projects that contribute to greater economic independence. One current project, that was actually initiated by Tauriska, is the fruit press in Bramberg, which makes it possible for hobby gardners to bring by fruit they have grown and harvested themselves, and then return home with the freshly pressed juice. Bramberg fruit juice has since been declared one of Austria's acclaimed “GenussRegion" culinary regions.
Tauriska is about talking together, developing ideas, maintaining independence, and realizing regional projects in the Hohe Tauern National Park Region collaboratively.
