Krimml Waterfalls
Contact information
With their impressive fall of 380 metres over three levels, Krimml Waterfalls are the largest in Europe and the fifth highest in the world.
Beginning at the end of the Achental, the waters of the Krimml Waterfalls first flow across gentle alpine meadows, until, when they reach the mouth of the valley, they plunge into the depths below.
From the lowest waterfall (about 10 min. walk) to the highest waterfall (about 1 hour walk) you will experience spectacular views of the thundering masses of water along the 4 km, well-secured path. Seating available at the Kürsinger Platz and numerous viewing points along the path invite you to pause and enjoy.
During your hike, enjoy the beautiful nature which surrounds Krimml Waterfalls, or, if you are taking a tour on your mountain bike, be sure to include a short stop or two along the way.
